“Inscape,” a term introduced by Jerard Manley Hopkins, means to reveal the inner essential qualities or unique appearance of an individual object. This video work consists of images taken using an inverted microscope to look into inner shapes. It involves the process of observing the cells and detailed structures of an organization and projecting myself onto them.
제라드 맨리 호프먼(Jerard Manley Hopkins)이 도입한 용어인 “inscape”는 내면의 본질적인 특성이나 개별적인 사물의 고유한 모습을 나타내는 것을 의미합니다. 이 비디오 작업은 내면의 형상을 들여다보기 위해 도립현미경을 이용해 촬영한 영상들로 구성되어있습니다. 조직의 세포, 세부구조까지 관찰하면서 그것들에 자아를 투영시켜보는 과정을 담고있습니다.
