A brief summary of Field Research Progress
At this stage, we have quite a lot of recordings from the field, and we have also confirmed the route and duration during our meeting at the park. We found some very distinctive places along our way, such as a stone beach, a mini playground, a carousel, a small garden, and we will combine our narrative with these scenes and the very rich and constant ambient sound to try to explore what kind of effects can be created. As we mentioned briefly in class, we want to do a narrative sound walk, so we'll have some vocals or sort of voice acting things to do in this week or next. What we have planned so far is that we need to record a breathing sound, which should serve as a thread through our entire sound walk. Based on the results of our current fieldwork-based discussions, our design is to use Echoes to play some sounds when the crowd moves to certain locations, and a background track may also be played through the walk.
